Terms of Use

Last updated:

Sevgi Pusulam connects two people who both chose to pair. These terms are the agreement between you and the developer of Sevgi Pusulam (“we”, “us”) for the Sevgi Pusulam app (“the app”). By signing in to the app you accept them; the sign-in screen links to these terms and to the Privacy Policy, and before your first message the app also asks you to accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

1. Who may use the app

You must be 18 or older to use the app. You sign in with an Apple or Google account. One account per person: do not use someone else’s account or let anyone else use yours. Keep your phone and your Apple or Google account safe, because what happens on your account is your responsibility.

The app shares location only between two people who both agreed to it: one shares a code, the other enters it, and the first accepts. Our database enforces this.

3. Chat rules: zero tolerance

There is no place in Sevgi Pusulam for harassment, threats, abuse, hate, sexual content sent without consent, sexual content involving anyone under 18, or anything illegal. Do not use the chat to send:

We review every reported message within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these rules and close the accounts that send it, and we pass illegal content to the authorities when the law requires it.

Protecting children. Sevgi Pusulam is only for people aged 18 and over. Nothing that shows or describes someone under 18 in a sexual way may be sent, asked for or pointed to, and trying to win a child’s trust for sexual purposes is forbidden too. We treat this as the most serious breach: we close the account and pass the material to the authorities as the law requires. If you come across anything like this, long-press the message to report it or write to support@sevgipusulam.app.

You are in control.

4. Your content

Your messages, photos, name and profile photo stay yours. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, transmit and display them only as far as needed to run the app: to show them to your partner, to keep them for as long as the Privacy Policy says, and to handle reports. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for copies kept with a report for the period the Privacy Policy describes. Only send what you have the right to send.

5. Compass Club subscriptions

The compass, the distance, one partner, the chat, Places and the free compass face are free and never need a subscription. Compass Club is an optional subscription that adds extra compass faces, compass design options and a compass photo, a gentle vibration when you face your partner, the “Together” figures, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and a Live Activity.

Compass Club is part of Sevgi Pusulam, not a separate app. It works on iPhones with iOS 16.4 or later and needs an internet connection; mobile data charges depend on your carrier’s plan.

Plans. There are two plans, each monthly or yearly:

If your partner already covers you with a Couple plan, you do not need to buy. If you both subscribe, each subscription is billed separately until it is canceled. A Solo member can switch to Couple, and Apple credits what is left of the current plan.

Payment and renewal.

Prices are shown in the app before you buy and can differ between countries. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules; you can ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. “Restore purchases” on the Compass Club screen brings back a subscription bought with the same Apple Account.

We raise a plan’s price only for a good reason: higher fees from Apple or from the server services we use, new costs from taxes, official charges or legal duties, exchange-rate swings, or new features we add to Compass Club. If the price goes up, Apple emails you at least 30 days ahead and asks for your agreement where needed; if you do not want the new price, you can cancel free of charge before it applies. The price of a period you have already paid for does not change.

Under the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation there is no right of withdrawal for services performed instantly in electronic form or digital content delivered instantly; the subscriptions start as soon as you confirm the purchase. Your other mandatory rights as a consumer are not affected.

If Compass Club does not work as we promised, write to support@sevgipusulam.app. Under Article 15 of the Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, you can choose to have the service performed again properly, to get a price reduction in proportion to the fault, or to withdraw from the contract, and with any of these you can also claim damages. Because Apple took the payment, refunds go through Apple; we will help you make the request.

How buying works. On the Compass Club screen, choose Solo or Couple and a monthly or yearly period; the price, the period, the renewal terms and a note on taxes and the right of withdrawal are shown right above the button. Tap “Join Compass Club”, and Apple’s purchase window opens. Confirm the purchase in that window. Until you confirm, you can close the window to change your choice or to back out, and nothing is charged. Once you confirm, Compass Club opens (this can take a minute) and Apple emails you a receipt. The contract text is these terms: the current version is always on our web page at sevgipusulam.app, and you can also read it in the app under the Profile tab → Terms of Use; you can save or print that web page. We keep every version we publish unchanged and will email you a copy on request. The Privacy Policy covers your data, and section 13 covers disputes.

6. Apple’s terms

Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. These terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.

The open-source software, fonts and map data in the app are used under their own licenses. You can find the list, with their copyright notices and license texts, on the Open-source licenses page.

7. Locations are not exact

The distance and direction come from your phones’ GPS and compass, which are not always accurate. Buildings, being indoors, magnets (MagSafe wallets, magnetic cases, car mounts), a compass that needs calibrating, a weak connection, Low Power Mode or a closed app can make them wrong or out of date. The app shows how old a position is and when the compass needs calibrating, but it cannot guarantee where anyone is.

The app is not a safety or emergency tool. Never rely on it for anyone’s safety or in an emergency.

8. Using the app fairly

Do not use the app to break the law; do not try to get into accounts or data that are not yours; do not disrupt, overload or attack the service; do not copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows; do not use bots or other automated access; and do not open a new account to get around a ban.

9. Changes to the app

We work to keep the app running, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever shut the app down, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before. If that happens, the shutdown notice will tell you how to cancel your subscription and how to ask for a refund of paid time you can no longer use; you keep your right to that refund.

We may one day transfer the app to a company we set up or to someone else. Our rights and duties under these terms would then pass to the new owner without reducing your rights; we will announce it in the app at least 30 days before, and if you do not accept it, you can delete your account. You may not transfer your account or your rights under these terms to anyone else.

10. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including about the accuracy of locations, directions or distances.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss that comes from relying on a location, direction or distance shown in the app. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for death, injury or material damage caused by something we did or failed to do, or any other liability the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing in them affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account: Profile tab → Delete account. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, especially the consent and chat rules, or if the law requires it; where the law allows, we will tell you why. If you think your account was suspended or closed by mistake, write to support@sevgipusulam.app; we will look at the decision again and tell you the result. Neither a closed nor a deleted account cancels a subscription: cancel it in your Apple Account settings.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, disputes below the amount the Ministry of Trade announces each year go to the consumer arbitration committee where you live or where you made the purchase; you can also apply through e-Devlet. For disputes above that amount, you first go to mediation and, if no agreement is reached, you can sue in the consumer court where you live. Other disputes are settled by the competent courts and enforcement offices of Türkiye. If you write to us first, we will try to sort it out together.

14. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the app will tell you before the change takes effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree with them, you can delete your account.
